Due to the fires throughout central Texas, we have delayed several events. First, the San Antonio Event on Sept. 13th, is rescheduled for October 3, 6 to 8 pm at the John Igo Library in San Antonio. We will have presentations about the statewide propositions — particularly Props 2, 4 and 8. We have also delayed the release of Perry Poop, focused on the Governor’s presidential run until next week.
I am writing to you more personally tonight as a Bastrop resident. Thank you to the many people who have called and emailed your concerns. My home and family are fine. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many Bastropians who are really hurting. If you can contribute time or funds to help, please do to your favorite organization. Or, if you wish, please consider giving to the Texas Wildfire Relief Fund which provides gear to volunteer fire fighters that will surely be needed as wildfire conditions will likely continue throughout the state. If you live in Bastrop County, here’s a lovely outdoor music event tomorrow evening, Saturday, September 10th, in McDade where can bring donations for fire relief.
I will be attending the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance Conference on Monday next week. I hope you can join me there, or at the film viewing that evening of the first Texas showing of Farmaggedon.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all your offers to help me personally and your fellow Texans. We’ll be back in touch next week. Linda Curtis, Independent Texans
