It was standing room only at the VFW in Rockne (over 200 people signed in) — VFW, thankfully, donated the hall for this meeting! A rip-roaring debate ensured about ‘what’s in this sludge anyway?’.
The father of the owner of the property, Dalton Wallace, showed up and to his credit faced the crowd. It is our hope that the Wallaces will see that a plan to place Class B biosolids (sewage sludge) near critical water resources and a growing population area of Bastrop County makes no sense.
